1962-71
Worked to found and develop an educational program later called Up with People, an international educational and musical student exchange program, nonreligious and nonpolitical. Up with People has a student exchange program which enrolls students in a six month educational program. The students come from around the world including Europe, the United States, China, Russia, Japan, African and South American countries.

1971-97
Established the first office for Up with People in Europe in Brussels, created 6 regional European offices and supervised annual activities in 70 – 100 European cities. Established a European board and advisory board consisting of senior and high profiled personalities from different European countries and introduced Up with People in the former East European countries including Russia and Poland.

1997-2009
Vice President for ResidenSea AS, responsible for the sales and marketing activities in Europe, Africa and Asia. ResidenSea AS is a Norwegian pioneering project, the first floating luxury resort ship called The World. Was Responsible for building up the sales and marketing organization and subsequently the sale of the apartments on the ship.

2009-Present
Managing Director of Basecamp Explorer Foundation and member of the board of Basecamp Explorer Foundation.
