Talek Medical Clinic

One of our most critical projects today is raising funds and helping build a new medical clinic in Talek, a town at the edge of the Maasai Mara. Daniel Namposa, a nurse practitioner and certified midwife, works at the clinic, lives above it, and responds to patient needs around the clock. The cost for clinic services is four dollars for a child, ten dollars for an adult…no one is turned away, regardless of ability to pay.

The current clinic is vastly substandard for the community Daniel and his staff serve. The most urgent need is for the facility to offer maternity care. In early 2024, visitors to Basecamp through BCEF-USA raised over $10,000 toward the cost of building a new clinic. Your donation will help to insure the new clinic is built and that adequate medical care is provided for Maasai families in the region.
